A Letter from our Pastor and Family

Dear Church Family and Friends,
Welcome! Whether you've been with us for years or are visiting for the very first time, we are so grateful you're here. It is one of the greatest honors of our lives to serve this church and this community. We believe the local church is not just a place you attend, it's a family you belong to. Our heart is to create a place where people can encounter God, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their purpose. As a family, we understand the beauty and challenges of everyday life. We laugh together, pray together, grow together, and we rely daily on God's grace. Ministry is not something we do; it's who we are. We are passionate about seeing lives transformed, families strengthened, and the next generation raised up to love and serve Jesus boldly. Our prayer is that when you walk through our doors, you feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged. No matter what your background or where you are in your journey, there is a place for you here. We look forward to worshiping, growing, and building God's Kingdom together.

Pastor Jeremy Walden
Lead Pastor and Nxt Gen Youth, Monumental Life Coach

Pastor Jeremy Walden is a devoted husband and father and is known for his passion for God and people. He was called to preach at the age of twelve. He knew right away that God had something great in store for him. Previously, he served as the youth pastor of The Brimfield Church. He is now the lead pastor at The Hill Church in Brimfield, Ohio, where he has served since 2014. Seeing people connect with Jesus is what drives Pastor Jeremy. Outreach in the community is at the core of Pastor Jeremy’s vision and he is dedicated to sharing the love of God with residents throughout Northeast Ohio.

Chelsi Walden
First Lady and Worship Pastor, Nxt Gen Youth

As First Lady, she serves with grace, strength, and a heart fully devoted to God and the Church. In her role as Worship Pastor, she leads with passion and authenticity, creating an atmosphere where people can encounter God through praise and worship. Her leadership reflects both spiritual depth and a desire to see others grow in their relationship with Christ. At home, she is a devoted mother who leads her family with love and faith, modeling the same commitment and compassion she brings to the ministry.

Pastor Phil Maggard Jr.
Assistant Pastor and Monumental Life Coach

Pastor Phil serves as the Assistant Pastor and Monumental Life Coach at The Hill Church, bringing over 10 years of ministry experience from Kids Ministry to youth pastor. He has a deep passion for helping others grow spiritually and personally through discipleship, leadership development and walking with individuals through every stage of life. He is a devoted husand, father, and uncle.

Pastor Mike Wells
Children's Pastor and Deacon

A devoted husand and father, Mike serves as our Children's Pastor with energy, creativity, and a deep love for seeing children grow in their relationship with Christ. As a faithful Deacon, he also plays a vital role in the spiritual leadership of our church, serving with integrity and a servant's heart. In addition to leading, he makes time to serve on our outreach team and connect group team and regularly brings the Word with clarity and passion.

Rachel Wells
Secretary and Just Like Home Daycare Director

Rachel serves as our church Secretary and Daycare director with dedication and heart for ministry. She works diligently behind the scenes to keep our church organized and running smoothly while also leading our daycare with love, structure, and care for every child and family, all while serving on other ministries such as kid's ministry and connect group team. She is a dedicated wife, mother, and long time member of The Hill Church.

Outreach Director and Monumental Life Coach

Ann serves as our Outreach Director and a Monumental Life Coach with a compassionate heart and a passion for helping others grow in faith and purpose. She leads our outreach efforts with vision, dedication, and encouraging connections both within our church and throughout the community. In addition to her leadership roles, she faithfully volunteers in our preschool class and youth group, pouring into the next generation with love and wisdom. As a devoted wife, proud mother, and joyful Nana, she brings warmth, experience, and a nurturing spirit to every area of ministry she touches.

Judy Huffman
Ladies Director and Mentorship

Judy serves as our Ladies Director with grace, wisdom, and a heart devoted to encouraging women in every season of life. As a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother, she brings warmth and real-life experience into her ministry. She is a trusted mentor to women and couples alike, offering biblical guidance, prayer, and practical encouragement that strengthens homes and deepens faith. Her passion is to see women walk confidently in their God-given purpose, while building strong, Christ-centered families.

Doug Maggard
Mens' Director and Trustee

Doug serves as our Men's Ministry Leader, guiding and encouraging the men of the church in their spiritual growth and fellowship. He also faithfully serves as a trustee, assisting with the care and oversight of church needs. In addition, he volunteers as a van driver for the youth, supporting their involvement in church activities. His years of service reflect his commitment to the ministry and church community.

Care Team

As the leader of our CARE ministry, Sarah has a heart devoted to serving others in their greatest times of need. With compassion, wisdom, and a listening ear, she helps coordinate meals, prayer support, hospital visits, and practical assistance for families walking through difficult seasons. Her nurturing spirit flows not only through this ministry but also through her role as a devoted wife and mother. She leads with both strength and gentleness, reflecting Christ's love through action and reminding our church family that no one walks alone.

As the leader of our Greeting Team, she sets the tone for every service with warmth, joy, and genuine hospitality. With a heart for people and a passion for making everyone feel seen and valued, she ensures that each person who talks through our doors experiences the love of Christ from the very first hello. Beyond her leadership at church, she is a devoted mother and proud grandmother who treasures her family deeply. Known as a faithful prayer warrior, she covers our church, pastors, and congregation in consistent prayer, believing wholeheartedly in the power of God to move in every life. Her servant's heart and welcoming spirit truly reflect the heart of our church.

Public Relations and Media

Our Public Relations and Media Leader oversees communication and media with creativity, clarity, and excellence. She manages the church's social media and media presence, helping share the vision and keep the congregation informed and connected. Through her work behind the scenes, she ensures that events, updates, and ministry moments are communicated effectively both within the church and the community. In addition to her leadership role, she is a dedicated mother who balances family and ministry with care and commitment.
